- Assist in the implementation of the school mission and help the school achieve excellence in student learning, team collaboration, a positive learning environment, and effective communication.
- Establish and maintain good communication and relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Support school learning teams.
- Partner with the principal for teacher observations and evaluations.
- Carry out other responsibilities as defined by the principal.
- Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach elementary students.
- Administrative license.
- Experience leading teachers to maximize academic growth for students.
- Ability to build relationships with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Experience as an instructional leader; team-building consensus and collaboration skills.
- Ability to communicate well and lead change.
- Experience facilitating positive behavioral systems school-wide.
- Preferred:
Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse school community.
Building Principal
Compensation / BenefitsSalary in the range of $112,703 – $120,264 (190 days/year) based on the 2025-26 school year, depending upon qualifications, plus an excellent benefits program.
Benefits include medical, dental, life, long-term disability, sick leave, state pension plan, tax-deferred retirement savings account, flexible spending account, and possibly vacation and personal leave.
