* THIS IS A FACULTY POSITION
* Position Overview:

The UMD Department of Education in the College of Education and Human Service Professions is seeking to hire student teaching supervisors. These positions are temporary and part-time.

This search will establish a pool of applicants for openings that may occur during the  academic year. Applicants will be selected from the pool as needed. Applications may not be acknowledged but will be reviewed when such openings occur. Instructors are appointed on a semester basis, depending on the needs of the Department of Education. Part-time appointments do not carry benefits, and appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Qualifications

Required/Essential

Qualifications:

Required academic qualifications to be eligible for the Instructor position are,
1) a commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering social justice,
2) a Master's degree from an accredited institution in education or field related to specific supervision assignment, and
3) a minimum of 3 years of K12 teaching experience.

Required academic qualifications to be eligible for the Assistant Professor position are,
1) a commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering social justice,
2) a Doctorate from an accredited institution in education or field related to specific supervision assignment, and
3) a minimum of 3 years of K12 teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred academic qualifications for the Instructor and Assistant Professor position are,
1) additional licensure/ endorsements appropriate to the field of study required to fill the position, and
2) experience teaching with technology.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range:

Instructor (9403) - $47,919.38 - $63,893 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Assistant Professor (9404) - $55,691.25 - $74,255 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
