Salary: $100,000 - $117,000 per year
Job DetailsPosition Summary:
Directs academic operations of nursing programs on a single campus to ensure all students receive a quality education in a friendly environment. Evaluates program quality and maintains accreditation standards. Manages faculty including hiring/selection, orientation, development, supervision, evaluation and discipline. Acquires new and maintains current clinical sites to meet the demands of the courses and students. Provides critical communication to facilitate role performance and program functioning.
Participates in planning measures to achieve academic success for students. Implements new programs as directed. Conducts and models professional behavior in interactions with students, staff, and administration. Evaluates and ensures the quality of resources for program functioning.
The following requirements represent minimum levels of education, experience and competencies needed to perform this job successfully:
- Education: Completion of an approved professional nursing program. A minimum of a Master’s Degree with a major in nursing.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse and prior leadership/managerial experience; a minimum of two years teaching experience in a professional registered nursing program as a faculty member required.

- Knowledge of Nursing
- Ability to apply an extensive knowledge of nursing standards and guidelines of patient care
- Ability to apply extensive knowledge of nursing theories and practices as it relates to curriculum development
- Thorough knowledge of role differentiation of practice between LPN versus RN role
