Ameri Corps Promise Fellows serve as caring adults who use evidence‑based, data‑driven solutions to support, mentor, and build positive relationships with young people in 6-12th grade on their path to high school graduation.
Member DutiesReturning Promise Fellows continue to establish and foster strong caring adult relationships with assigned student caseload. They provide weekly support to students through 1:1 meetings or small group facilitation. They proactively build relationships with teachers, campus staff, community partners, and families for a student‑centered approach to support. They also meet regularly with the site Youth Success Team to review data and identify youth to serve, track student progress, and align interventions with student needs.
They help implement a student‑led project that engages youth in service and leadership activities. They provide attendance and behavior coaching for students targeted for needing assistance. They help maintain data collection and entry for program records, complete ongoing youth assessments and submit weekly and monthly reports using an online database system.
