POSITION OVERVIEW

Lake of the Woods is a dynamic PK-12 school serving students and families in Lake of the Woods County. We are seeking an exceptional educational leader committed to fostering a collaborative, student-centered culture. This individual will work closely with staff and partners to sustain a positive, inclusive and highly effective environment where students can thrive. This position is a full-time, 220-day administrative position offering a competitive salary range with benefits package.

Lake of the Woods School is in Baudette, MN on the Rainy River and just minutes from The Lake of the Woods.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic leadership in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of education programming, curriculum development and instructional practices.
  • Supervise and support licensed and non-licensed staff, including evaluations and professional growth.
  • Administer various school education programs, including measurement and evaluation.
  • Plan and direct district-wide programs
  • Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment practices and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage the school’s budget.
  • Maintain and strengthen safety protocols while cultivating a positive, inclusive and supportive school climate.
  • Collaborate closely with the Superintendent to advance and operationalize the District’s mission, vision and strategic priorities.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with students, families, community organizations, tribal and local agencies, staff and the broader community to foster engagement, trust and shared responsibility for student success.
  • Manage building operations, including scheduling, budgeting and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Lead special education processes and student support services.
  • Ensure safe school practices, crisis response readiness and adherence to district policies.
