Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Early Learning, the Parent Educator is responsible for planning, developing lesson plans, and facilitating parent discussion groups to discuss and explore family needs, parenting skills, and specific parenting issues with parents. The parent Educator researches, interprets, and presents current information on family issues, serving as a resource to parents and providing referral information as needed.
The Parent Educator also assists in working with community agencies to maintain relationships to ensure a non-duplication of services, as well as generating new ideas to reach our 'at-risk' parents.

Minimum Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication, organizational, and teaching skills appropriate for families with young children.
Required Qualifications:
A B.A. or B.S. Degree and Licensed by the State of MN in Parent Education.
Compensation:
The full-time parent education position salary is $54,964 (181 days/7.5 hours per day) plus health and retirement benefits.
