* Job Description:

** The Part-time Academic Coordinator for the LIFE at LSC program supports inclusive postsecondary education by providing direct academic and skill-based support to students with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. This position works collaboratively with the LIFE Program Director, faculty, peer tutors, and student support services to ensure students have equitable access to academic content, digital resources, and experiential learning opportunities. The Academic Coordinator promotes student success through individualized tutoring, skill development, and guidance that reinforces the program’s core principle that learning is accessible to everyone
** Salary Range:$24.40-$35.30 hourly, $50,947-$73,706 annually*
* * Salary placement is dependent on education and experience, annual salary will be prorated to hours work in a year based on part-time employment

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** Two years of experience that supports or provides administrative support for academic, instructional, or mentoring support to students, preferably in a postsecondary, transition, or student support services setting. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; an Associate's degree may substitute for six months of experience
* Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of digital learning tools, including learning management systems and common instructional technologies.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and peer tutors.
* Demonstrated ability to support student development, including promoting independence, self-advocacy, and skill-building in academic, vocational, and life skills contexts.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
** Preferred

Qualification:

*** Associate’s degree in education, special education, social work, psychology, human services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience OR a bachelor’s degree in education, special education, disability services, rehabilitation services, psychology, or a related field.
* Experience working in a postsecondary inclusive education program or transition from high school program for students with disabilities.
* Experience supervising, mentoring, or coordinating student employees or peer tutors.
* Familiarity with assistive technology and accessibility tools that support diverse learners.
* Knowledge of vocational skill development, independent living skills, and workforce readiness programming. Training or certification related to disability support services, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), or inclusive teaching practices.
* Knowledge of ADA, FERPA and data privacy policies.
** Work Shift (Hours / Days of work):
** Part-time, M-F, 8:00 am-4:00pm, up to
