Your primary focus will be providing building controls sales support to our commercial sales organization and other distribution channels with an emphasis on large technical projects and initiatives such as data centers, cyber security, and high‑tech verticals. You will develop strong Trane commercial sales organizational relationships and use your controls systems knowledge to enable successful sales solutions for Trane’s controls business.

Prioritize engaging with customers. When not directly interacting with customers, collaborate with colleagues in your office.

What you will do
  • Liaison with Trane sales offices and the controls product management team to provide field feedback and successfully commercialize controls offerings.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales support on large, complex controls projects including spec reviews, cyber security inquiries, presentations, demonstrations, and competitive strategies.
  • Specify and develop sales tools or sales tool enhancements as needed to support growth objectives. Tools include guide specifications, product demos, customer presentation templates, and competitive analysis.
  • Work with IT and Engineering cyber security teams to understand industry trends and standards, improve standard work processes, provide support, and communicate best practices to the field.
  • Assist with development and delivery of controls product training and sales strategy for the Trane Graduate Training Programs, sales seminars, and webinars.
  • Host customer visits and provide product presentation and demonstration coaching to the field, as well as direct presentation support for key customers, vertical markets, and projects.
