Position OverviewCMTA Midwest is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will provide mechanical services that meet and exceed a client’s expectations. They will provide expert advice, make key decisions, and develop highly complex elements regarding mechanical design and project development. This position will guide and direct a team of engineers to ensure a project is completed on‑time and on‑budget. It is responsible for growing and developing the mechanical department and continuing to build successful client relations.
This is an onsite position in our Duluth office.
- Positively motivate and review work performed by a team of mechanical engineers.
- Professionally work with clients to identify goals.
- Correctly complete billing and budgeting for a project.
- Coordinate services between the mechanical engineer team, clients, and other contractors.
- Provide descriptive solutions to mechanical design difficulties.
- Manage a team of engineers and designers; conduct periodic reviews and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and effectively delegate workload to team members.
- Frequent professional interaction with clients to discover and implement expectations.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- P.E. licensed mechanical engineer.
- 10+ years of industry experience.
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization.
- Established industry and market expertise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and be a strong decision maker.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within the role.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours as project schedules and deadlines require.
