Overview

Senior Advanced Project Engineer in Honeywell's Projects & Automation Solution (PAS) group supporting the Sheet Manufacturing market. Responsible for developing and aligning project technical scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Develop project work plans, schedules, resource fulfillment, and cost controls to ensure efficient project execution and successful delivery of solutions. Apply industry experience in project management and technical engineering to contribute to project success.

You will lead the success of advanced engineering projects, coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

Markets served include Pulp & Paper, Lithium-ion Battery (LIB), aluminum, rubber, plastic films, OEMs, and other continuous sheet processes. Honeywell solutions delivered include Quality Control Systems (QCS), Cross Direction (CD) Control Systems, Machine Direction (MD) Control Systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Web inspection, and other Continuous Web Solutions (CWS).

You will report to a Project Engineering Manager and may work remotely or from a Honeywell location when not deployed at customer sites across the U.S. and Canada. Collaboration with Lifecycle Services and Solutions (LSS) and the Regional Operations Collaboration Center (ROCC) in Duluth, GA is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project technical scope to customer requirements
  • Lead technical deployment of engineered solutions
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, resources, and cost control
  • Lead communication with stakeholders for work plans and technical deliverables
  • Identify and eliminate project risks and issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform timely completion of required training, time and expense reporting
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in field support, engineering, or related roles for sheet manufacturing
  • Experience with MD/CD process control troubleshooting and optimization
  • Experience with 3rd party process data and control systems
  • Experience with PC networking equipment
  • Experience in managing complex engineering projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong leadership and project execution skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Self-motivation and ability to work in dynamic environments
  • Software troubleshooting and customization skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willing to travel +50% of the time
