Senior Research And Development Engineer

We are working with a growing, innovation-driven medical device company seeking a Product Development Engineer to join their R&D team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on next-generation, minimally invasive technologies, contributing across the full product lifecycle in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

• Support and lead product development activities from concept through to commercialization
• Design and develop minimally invasive / catheter-based medical devices
• Build and refine prototypes, test fixtures, and engineering models
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams
• Develop and maintain design documentation (DHF, protocols, reports)
• Apply DOE and statistical methods to optimize product performance
• Support risk management activities (FMEA, hazard analysis)
• Work with suppliers and partners on component and process development
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in medical device product development
• Experience with minimally invasive or catheter-based technologies
• Understanding of design controls and regulated environments (FDA, ISO 13485)
• Hands‑on experience with prototyping, testing, and iteration
• Familiarity with DOE, statistical analysis, and problem‑solving methodologies
• Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Solid Works, NX, or similar)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
