PROJECT MANAGER, EPC (MIDSTREAM)

Location: Houston, TX, Spring, TX, The Woodlands, TX

Work Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Work Schedule: Onsite, 1-day WFH

NES Fircroft is currently partnering with a leading engineering and construction organization to identify a Project Manager, EPC for a permanent hire position to support the delivery of midstream pipeline and facility projects across the oil & gas sector, based in the Houston area.

Position Summary

The Project Manager, EPC is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of midstream pipeline and facility projects within the oil & gas sector. This role oversees projects from early‑stage concept and detailed engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and close‑out.

The position requires strong leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams, with full accountability for project execution, including scope, schedule, cost control, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of EPC projects across pipeline and midstream facility developments
  • Manage full project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and contract close‑out
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, cost reporting, and work breakdown structures
  • Ensure alignment with client specifications, timelines, and financial targets
  • Coordinate engineering teams across Process, Mechanical, Piping, I&E, and Civil/Structural disciplines
  • Lead project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder communications
  • Monitor performance, manage risk, and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery objectives
  • Drive EHS performance across project teams and subcontractors
  • Build and maintain client relationships, supporting both execution and future opportunities
  • Support proposal development including scoping, estimating, and execution planning
Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Required)
  • PMP Certification (preferred)
  • 7 years of EPC project management experience within midstream oil & gas (pipelines and/or facilities)
  • Proven experience delivering full lifecycle projects from concept through close‑out
  • Strong background in cost control, scheduling, risk management, procurement, and contracts
  • Field experience supporting construction of pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations, and related infrastructure
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and project resources
