Senior Structural Engineer | Energy and Industry
Location:
Duluth or Minneapolis, Minnesota (hybrid work environment).
Senior Structural Engineer responsible for leading structural design, analysis, and construction oversight for energy and industry projects. Duties include business development, proposal preparation, project management, client communication, supervision of engineering staff, drafting review, design calculations, construction site visits, and technical reporting.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 12 years of experience in structural engineering with concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber, and specialized analysis and inspections.
- Professional Engineer license, with readiness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically as required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Mathcad, and structural analysis software such as RISA and/or STAAD.
- Ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work outdoors in varied weather.
- Compliance with pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
- Passed the 16‑hour Structural Engineering (SE) exam.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in pipeline, power delivery, mining, pulp and paper, or other industrial work.
- MSHA certification.
- Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects independently.
Base salary $110,000 – $140,000 annually, with year‑end bonus eligibility. Final offer based on experience and skills.
