Summary
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to provide overall direction and leadership on a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) dominant data center project or for MEP scopes of work on medium to large data center related projects. Responsibilities include project quality, timeliness, safety management, and mentoring the project team. The role also involves developing customer relationships, providing excellent service, and maintaining effective communication across all staff levels.

Positions at both Level 1 and Level 2 are available, with compensation based on experience and location.

- Supervise the overall financial health of data center projects
- Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
- Determine and allocate project estimates into the financial system
- Calculate cost codes, approve invoices, and manage budgets
- Provide financials and billings to accounting for timely payment
- Create monthly owner billings
- Handle subcontracts and suppliers
- Oversee budget and select trade partners and suppliers
- Manage billings and contract management, including buyouts
- Supervise the 3‑D coordination process to resolve conflicts prior to installation
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projects
- Strong detail orientation to organize and run multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web applications
- Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Minimum ten years construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
- Minimum five years’ experience building data centers
- Current driver’s license

- Base pay range:
Level I – $144,300 MIN to $216,500 MAX;
Level II – $158,900 MIN to $238,400 MAX. Actual range is higher for the following office locations:
Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%.
