Safety Specialist II

Lead the charge in occupational health and safety by implementing programs, interpreting regulations, and guiding corrective action. With strong analytical skills and a commitment to compliance, this role conducts audits, prepares OSHA reports, and develops safe work procedures that protect employees and operations. A key voice in ongoing safety meetings and training efforts.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelors degree in industrial safety, industrial hygiene, or equivalent required
• Four years or more directly related work experience
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to project sites as travel may be required up to 20%
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain productive internal and external working relationships.
• This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.

What you'll do:

• Under direction, develop, implement, and administer safety and occupational health programs and work procedures.
• Foster positive relationships and culture for preventing injuries.
• Possess and apply a broad knowledge of occupational health and safety principles, practices and procedures.
• Interpret and assure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Prepare and distribute educational materials and information.
• Compile and submit required OSHA accident reports.
• Plan and conduct facility audits and recommend actions for the correction of hazardous situations for compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Conduct job safety analyses to develop safe work procedures schedules.
• Participate in periodic safety meetings.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $77,000 - $96,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, this position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package, including an Incentive Program, Retirement Benefits, Medical, Dental & Vision Plans, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance, Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and more.
