Process Engineer – Entry Level

• Support the Engineering and Design business unit
• Work with multidisciplinary project teams
• Provide mineral and chemical process engineering design, calculations, and technical support
• Conduct process design and analysis
• Perform detailed process mass and energy balance modeling
• Conduct laboratory and pilot plant testing
• Develop process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams
• Develop technical reports and equipment specifications
• Estimate capital and operating costs
• Size process piping and equipment
• Communicate technical information to project team members, clients, and diverse audiences
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align technical work with project objectives
• Provide quality deliverables and support client service across projects involving metals, minerals, coal, chemicals, and fuels

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, metallurgy, minerals processing, or materials science engineering
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF editing software
• Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
• Ability to travel and periodically adjust personal schedule to meet project needs
• Ability to work in locations with rough terrain, limited accessibility, moving machinery, and industrial-facility conditions
• Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Experience with Aspen or ChemCAD is helpful but not required

Demonstrates expertise in mineral and chemical process engineering design, including process flow diagrams and mass and energy balance modeling. Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality technical reports and equipment specifications.
