Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing

Mers around the world to lead and develop 3M’s global transfer pricing program. This role provides leadership to manage transfer pricing initiatives while acting as a strategic partner with stakeholders globally within and outside Tax.
- Leading the development and interpretation of 3M’s transfer pricing policies
- Providing technical leadership to evaluate and lead transfer pricing implications of business changes
- Ensuring alignment between transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and operational activities
- Acting as a primary point of contact for transfer pricing technical expertise within certain assigned areas
- Leading, mentoring, and developing tax and transfer pricing team members and contributing to overall team capability building
- Supporting internal controls, governance processes, and financial statement disclosures related to transfer pricing and Country‑by‑Country Reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Tax (completed before start).
- Ten years of experience in transfer pricing within a multinational corporation or accounting firm.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, JD) and/or professional certification (CPA, EA).
- Prior experience in a large, matrixed, global organization.
- Strong technical knowledge of US Treasury Regulations 1.482, OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and international tax principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑country projects and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrates strong judgment, accountability, and ownership of outcomes.
- Operates comfortably in complexity and ambiguity, balancing technical rigor with business practicality.
- Builds trust through collaboration, clear communication, and consistent execution.
- Models 3M leadership behaviors and contributes to an inclusive, high‑performing team culture.
- On‑site work: at least four days a week at 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, Washington, DC, or Austin, TX.
- Travel may include up to 10% domestic.
