VP​/Director of Finance

Job Description

We are looking to add a VP/Director of Finance to our team based in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The selected candidate will be tasked with overseeing complex financial administration of grant programs and managing the annual budget, among other responsibilities. This role is central to our operations and requires a strong understanding of accounting functions, Enterprise Resource Planning, and communication skills.

• Overseeing the daily responsibilities of Finance and Procurement staff in procurement, accounting and finance operations
• Ensuring employee compliance with established departmental and agency procedures, policies, rules, regulations, and schedules
• Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
• Oversee sing accounts payable, revenue collection, payroll, and all purchasing activities
• Producing annual budget, multi-year budget forecasts, and financial reports
• Managing the annual audit process and performing liaison duties with external independent audit firm
• Overseeing all investments and compliance with investment regulations
• Managing all debt transactions and supervision of capital financing transactions
• Presenting financial updates and recommendations to senior management and board of commissioners
• Directing all grant preparation and administration
• Overseeing procurement, including negotiations, monitoring, and management of contracts
• Performing other duties and activities as assigned

• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Demonstrated ability in handling Accounting Functions
• Experience in Annual Budget preparation and execution
• Experience in Supervising a team
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements
• Experience in Grant Accounting, Grant Administration, and Grant Management
