The Non‑QM Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and maintaining a pipeline while communicating with internal and external parties. Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant. The Non‑QM Underwriter will be the main point of contact for credit conditions of the post‑close pipeline. Maintains extensive guideline and product knowledge of all Non‑QM lending while assisting with questions.

• Underwrite Non‑QM products, including but not limited to Bank Statement Programs, DSCR, Asset Depletion, Foreign National, and Self‑Employment.
• Main point of contact for Non‑QM post‑close credit pipeline.
• Maintain an underwriting pipeline of new loans and resubmissions that meet standard service level agreements.
• Evaluate and examine loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor and internal guidelines to issue loan decisions.
• Communicate with operations, sales, business partners, maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Collaborate with the post‑closing department on any stipulations for closed files.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in special projects and handle other duties as assigned by management.

• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• Experience with Non‑QM Post‑Close credit and manual underwriting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Encompass LOS experience, a plus.
• Time management, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
