Scope / Contacts- Responsible for the making and servicing of a variety of loans for commercial customers, including secured and unsecured, capital, equipment, real estate, interim construction, personal, small‑business administration, and working‑capital loans.
- Evaluate each loan for profitability and proper structuring to protect the bank’s interests and make decisions that merit serious consideration.
- Perform business development activities within the commercial business market area and maintain heavy customer contact.
- Represent the bank at a variety of social situations and maintain excellent communication and human‑relations skills.
- Make and service all types of commercial and real estate loans either personally or in conjunction with other officers.
- Provide guidance to customers to ensure their banking needs are met.
- Promote the services and profitability of the bank.
- Develop new business to ensure a constant increase in loans and income to the bank.
- Actively participate in a Customer Service First sales and service culture, supporting the values of the organization and following established company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or business‑related field (preferred).
- Formal credit training and/or underwriting knowledge experience.
- Minimum 5‑10 years of commercial bank lending experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross‑sell bank products.
- Familiarity with sales, loan processing and closing processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of portfolio management.
