Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a diligent Tax Accountant to join our client's diligent wealth management team. This role involves preparing various types of tax returns, creating tax planning strategies, tax research and presenting strategies to clients. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately manage multiple tax-related tasks with a proactive approach. The position offers a competitive salary of up to $65K per annum, including bonuses and benefits.

• Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other related filings.
• Implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
• Conduct tax research and monitor legislative and regulatory changes.
• Present tax strategies and issues to clients.
• Support various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
• Prepare and review quarterly and yearly tax projections.

• Individual, fiduciary, and estate tax knowledge and understanding
• 1+ years of experience in a tax or public accountant role
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Current CPA license or Master’s degree in an accounting field preferred or desire to obtain
• Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members
• Knowledge of tax software/tools preferred:
  Lacerte, BNA, RIA Checkpoint, Tax Book, and MS Office
• Excellent follow-up and follow-through capabilities
• Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential client information
• Accuracy, reasonable speed, and attention to detail
• Desire and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and prioritize
