, is looking for a Phlebotomist to join their team.
The position is part-time.
- Start: As soon as possible.
- Salary
: $120-$160 per shift - Location: Duluth, MN - On-Site.
The Phlebotomist will arrive at the medical facility and find the lab orders for the day that have been ordered by the medical providers. Walk around to the residents of the facility and collect blood to fill those orders. Use the ordering system to print labels then package the samples so they are ready for pickup.
Responsibilities & Duties- Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information with precision and confidentiality.
- Follow laboratory procedures meticulously to ensure specimen integrity and prevent contamination or errors.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the process.
- Support clinical laboratory teams by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety standards at all times.
