The Volunteer Specialist is responsible for recruiting, retaining and supporting volunteers and planning, coordinating, and managing all volunteer program activities. This position will also be directly responsible for growing and training the volunteer base in the organization. This position also establishes, develops and cultivates relationships with volunteer sources.

OpportunityDetails:
- The targeted pay range for this position is $23.50 to $26.50 per hour and is an exempt/salary position.
- This position will support our Hospice Duluth and North Branch teams.
- Full-Time 1.0 FTE (80hrs bi-weekly) Weekdays M-F 8am-4:30pm - Occasional evenings and weekends. No Holidays.

- Develops and maintains volunteer training and orientation programs.
- Supervises and evaluates volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Provides information to individuals and community groups about volunteer services.
- Maintains electronic volunteer services databases and files, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Communicates with interdisciplinary team when appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Local Travel Required
Minimum Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in health care or human services setting
- Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to:
Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
