Location:
Building F - Duluth Clinic - 3rd Street. Department: 2901550 URGENT CARE - EH DC. Positions available include Clinic Care Technician, Medical Assistant Apprentice, Medical Assistant, and Licensed Practical Nurse to serve in Essentia Health’s Urgent Care.
Salary range: $16.81 – $25.05 per hour.
Responsibilities: greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient chart, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, ordering and maintaining supplies, assisting with clerical duties, and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months. 0.4 FTE; day/evening shift rotation (shift start 0845, shift end 1945); weekend and holiday scheduling as per shift schedule. Not a union position.
Flat rate salary: $19.00 per hour.
Under guidance of a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN preceptor, performs entry‑level duties assisting RN, Physician and other providers. Executes procedures once competencies are demonstrated.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in In‑Clinic Assistant Training Apprenticeship Program (ICATAP) for 12 months. Upon completion must obtain CCMA Board Certification within 12 months and meet on‑job hours. BCLS certified or obtain within 3 months. LPNs cannot occupy this position.
Salary range: $20.39 – $29.99 per hour.
Responsibilities: assisting RN, Physician and other providers with direct patient care; performing procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated; caring for patients of all ages.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as an LPN in Minnesota, Wisconsin or OR, OR current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant, OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program with certification within one year of hire (must pass within two attempts). BCLS certified or obtain within 3 months.
