Clinic Care Tech, Medical Assistant or LPN - Hematology​/Oncology

Job Description

Seeking a Clinic Care Tech, Medical Assistant, or a Licensed Practical Nurse to serve in Essentia Health's Hematology/Oncology. This position will work 8 am to 4:30 pm but hours will vary, Monday through Friday with no holidays or weekends.

Medical Assistant or LPN (Salary $20.39 - 29.99). You will assist the RN, Physician and other providers and provide direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. You will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. You will care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the appropriate state (i.e., Minnesota, Wisconsin), or current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant or verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire (must pass certification within two attempts). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.

The Clinic Care Technician is primarily responsible for providing assistance with daily patient flow in the clinic setting. These duties may include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient chart, stocking, and cleaning exam room, ordering and maintaining clinic supplies, assisting with clerical duties, and all other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Certification/Licensure Requirements:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.

Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: 0730, 0745, 0800 / 1530, 1600, 1630

Compensation Range: $17.32 - $25.80 / hour

FTE: 1
