Travel Ultrasound Technologist

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Gen/Vascular for a 13‑week assignment in Duluth, Minnesota.

As a member of our team, you will provide high‑quality diagnostic sonography services, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.

• Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans.
• Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging while prioritizing their comfort and safety.
• Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies.
• Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
• Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively.
• Work efficiently in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments while maintaining professionalism.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations.

• Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS).
• Current ARRT certification in sonography.
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

• Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Work efficiently in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments while maintaining professionalism.

• Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
• Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel and present a positive attitude.
• Technical/Motor Skills – Must perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures and equipment.
• Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration to detail.
• Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills.
