ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S CLINIC in Duluth, MN is seeking an ACCREDITATION SPECIALIST & PROGRAM COORDINATOR to join our ST. LUKES MEDICAL ONCOLOGY team!
Salary Range: $35.82 - $51.93 Hourly

FTE: PART TIME, 0.80 FTE or 64 Hours Biweekly
Provides leadership, guidance and acts as a resource in the research, design, implementation, education, communication and evaluation of continuous performance/quality improvement activities for the Aspirus St. Luke's Cancer Program. The Accreditation Specialist and Program Coordinator (ASPC) ensures organizational compliance with the Commission on Cancer (COC), American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and other regulatory requirements for the Aspirus St. Luke's Cancer Program.
The ASPC must have knowledge and training in the ACos and COC requirements/standards. The ASPC assumes the responsibility and accountability for assisting administration, providers and staff in the processing and interpretation of documentation submitted during the accreditation cycle. The ASPC will complete the Survey Application Records (SAR) and the Pre-Application Record (PAR) for all ACoS and COC accreditations.
The AS provides strategic oversight for all accreditation services. This includes participation in monitoring, evaluating, suggesting and implementing needed changes, new programs and continuous quality improvement to ensure accreditation.
The ASPC as a nurse, under the medical direction of the clinic physicians and the administrative direction of the Oncology Operations Leader, provides professional nursing care to medical and radiation oncology patients in the Clinic setting; coordinates patient care with members of the health care team; educates patients and loved ones on the care plan; manages patient phone calls; oversees the flow of care and assists in continuous quality improvement efforts;
supervises clinical tasks of clinical assistant staff; assists with development, implementation and evaluation of practice standards, policies and procedures; participates and assists in planning and implementing community events for cancer prevention and education.

Graduate of a nursing program. - Experience:
Three (3) years experience in a clinical setting. - Licensure/Certification/Registration: MN RN License.

Experience working in Oncology Field, Experience in data collection methodologies, data analysis and display, and demonstrated ability to plan, organize, set and accomplish objectives necessary to enhance and develop skills. Experience with interpretation of COC standards and requirements. Experience with coordinating COC surveys. - Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Oncology Certified Nurse or other related certification.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of medical and hospital terminology; anatomy and physiology; pathophysiology; coding according to the International Classification of Diseases, statistical calculations; information display techniques, and basic management and supervisory principles. Skills in organizing work responsibilities efficiently; multitasking, communicating orally and in writing; working constructively with other persons.
