ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST to join our 3W PSYCHIATRY team!
Salary Range: $17.44 - $25.28 Hourly
Schedule/
Hours:
DAY/PM (EVENING) ROTATION, Variable Shifts
Weekend Requirement:
Occasional Weekend
FTE: PART TIME, 0.001 FTE
The Behavioral Health Specialist provides therapeutic communication, crisis intervention and delivers care under the delegation of an RN. Responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, conducting patient educational activities as well as documentation and reporting of patient status to the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications- Education/
Experience:
Completed coursework in the behavioral sciences, and will obtain Bachelor's degree within six (6) months of hire, OR Completion of a Practical Nursing program, OR High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of directly related mental health work experience. - Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network. Wisconsin Background Study upon hire and renewed per Wisconsin state law.
- Experience:
Prior experience in the delivery of services to persons with mental illness.
