Part Time Manual Labor – Duluth, MN, US

Salary Range: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour

Position Summary

A Room Attendant displays exceptional organization and cleaning skills while caring for a wide variety of guests daily. Room Attendants play a very important role in the overall success of The Lakeview Management Company–Duluth (LMC-D). They are responsible for ensuring that LMC‑D guests feel welcomed and cared for by expertly preparing their guest rooms for arrival and continuing to attend to all other needs of the property — all while maintaining an energetic, professional, and welcoming demeanor.

LMC‑D demands the highest quality of guest service as Room Attendants often meet guests throughout the property.

Essential Job Functions
  • Clean and prepare guest rooms to LMC‑D standards: make beds, change linens, replace towels, dust, vacuum, mop floors, clean mirrors and glass, wipe down furniture and fixtures, clean appliances, and empty trash.
  • Sanitize and restock bathroom amenities and supplies (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toilet paper, tissues, cups, etc.).
  • Check rooms after cleaning to ensure all cleanliness standards and safety checks are met; report maintenance issues (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, furniture damage, etc.) immediately through the property's reporting system.
  • Follow room assignment schedule and complete departure and stayover services within established productivity and time targets while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Respond to guest requests and service orders promptly and courteously (additional towels, pillows, amenity replacements, etc.), escalating special requests to housekeeping supervisor or manager when needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guestroom amenities; restock cart and storage areas and notify supervisor of low or damaged stocks of amenities, linens and cleaning supplies.
  • Adhere to established safety, sanitation, and infection‑control procedures, including proper handling and laundering of soiled linens and use of approved cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
  • Coordinate with floor supervisor or manager to prioritize check‑ins, VIP rooms, late check‑outs, and special room preparations.
  • Ensure lost‑and‑found items are logged, secured, and turned in according to hotel policy; report any suspicious items or incidents to floor supervisor or manager.
  • Keep housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas clean, organized, and locked when unattended.
  • Attend mandatory pre‑shift briefings and training; follow resort policies, standards, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Assist with cleaning of public areas and The Foundry as requested.
  • Perform laundry services as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience providing cleaning or janitorial services; experience within a hospitality role is a plus.
  • The physical ability to carry out all job duties efficiently.
  • The ability to read room charts and understand the different room numbers and room types at The Lakeview Guesthouse; safety materials and labels, operating manuals.
  • A caring, positive attitude with a genuine interest in ensuring our guests have memorable experiences.
  • A team‑oriented attitude and a detail‑focused mind.
  • A flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and holiday availability.
  • High School Diploma or GED; or six months related experience/training. Experience with in a hospitality role is a plus.
Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional hotel environment. The role uses standard housekeeping supplies such as cleaning products and tools, vacuums, mops, floor cleaning machines and supply carts. This position requires weekend and holiday work.
