Pay

$16.00 - $16.50 per hour. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.

Essential Functions
  • Ensures every guest is greeted and welcomed on arrival.
  • Registers and books guests, verifying reservation, address, email address and credit information.
  • Proficient on kiosk operations to assist when necessary.
  • Answers all inbound calls in a professional manner.
  • Has an intimate knowledge of the hotel facilities and the local geographic area.
  • Accepts payment for guests’ accounts at the time of registration and at checkout.
  • Maintains a house bank and makes a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily.
  • Processes all retail transactions for the guest.
  • Responsible for restocking and assuring overall cleanliness of retail.
  • Issues luggage claims and checks guest luggage when requested.
  • Takes pride in the overall look and feel of the hotel, assuring cleanliness and conditions are at their peak at all times.
  • Respectfully listens and responds to guest complaints in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in a public contact position.
  • Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and some knowledge in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet.
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.
