About

The Role

As a Data Protection Services Manager, you will be responsible for helping manage and maintain the Data Loss Prevention team, data protection tooling & environments, and ensuring the policies and controls are protecting data. Your team will also be responsible for providing metrics, remediations, project tasks, and troubleshooting for level 3 escalations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the data protection team, service offerings, and demand management
  • Participate in data protection and data loss prevention governance activities
  • Enable stakeholder communications
  • Manage and maintain Data Loss Prevention policy sets, agent configuration, and controls to prevent unwanted data egress
  • Oversee functional and control testing
  • Refer data protection policy violations to appropriate investigative teams and support as applicable
  • Manage the controls, maintenance, level 3 technical support, vendor relationships, and performance of security solutions within functional areas
  • Utilize Microsoft Purview Information Protection for the creation of labels and reporting
  • Schedule discovery scans of data as requested
  • Collaborate with IT and other security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with latest industry trends and advancements in Data and Information Protection capabilities
  • Partner with Data Security & Identity Architects for proposing enhancements, new capabilities, and other technology evolutions as needed
  • Understanding enterprise solutions that oversight and integrations will be required for (e.g. tenant wide configurations that enable controls for DLP, integration to DLP to/from other platforms, etc.)
Your Skills And Expertise

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or technology field (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5 ) years of experience in cybersecurity, with three (3) years focused on cybersecurity engineering and administration in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

  • Proven experience managing DLP solutions like Forcepoint, Microsoft Purview, DSPMs, etc.
  • Experience with identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents
  • Strong understanding of data loss prevention principles and mitigating controls
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with ForcePoint, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, and other data protection security platforms and services
  • Familiarity with data classification and regulatory data types (i.e. PCI, PII, PHI)
  • Experience with larger international organizations
Work location
  • This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN or Austin, Tx locations.

Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation:
May be authorized
