Associate Director, Enterprise Services (Supply Chain & Operations Architecture)

Overview

The role reports to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Systems Digital Transformation and supports the definition of the Enterprise Services “OneRTX” vision for SIOP/SIOE demand planning processes and digital enablement. The Associate Director will lead the development of innovative, compliant IT digital architectures focused on Supply Chain and Operations Demand processes within the Product Lifecycle Services (PLS) and SIOP/SIOE domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the design and implementation of scalable IT solution architectures for Supply Chain processes within the PLS domain.
  • Support SAP S/4, Kinaxis and Pelico implementation projects, representing demand planning processes and ensuring integration requirements and closed-loop requirements are designed, tested, and supported.
  • Act as a liaison for best practice digital enablement, working as a change agent and internal voice for the OneRTX vision.
  • Influence, guide, and support delivery of the 1-, 3-, and 5-year architectural strategies and roadmaps that align with RTX’s business objectives.
  • Integrate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain into the application architecture to enhance supply chain visibility, efficiency, and resilience.
  • Collaborate enterprise-wide to develop logical reference architectures, best practices, patterns, maturity models, and roadmaps for supply chain IT solutions.
  • Ensure solutions comply with RTX IT policies and industry standards while minimizing complexity and maximizing scalability.
  • Provide mentorship and thought leadership to the architecture community and IT teams across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Enterprise Architecture, Computer Science, Supply Chain or a related field with at least 12 years of experience in IT, supply‑chain systems architecture, design, implementation, or systems engineering.
  • Or Master’s degree with 10 years of related experience.
  • Proven track record in developing, delivering, and supporting enterprise‑scale applications in supply‑chain environments.
  • Expertise in architecture frameworks and methods (e.g., SAP ECC / S4, APS solutions like Kinaxis / O9 / Blue Yonder).
  • Experience designing or implementing cloud‑native solutions and strong understanding of supply‑chain IT systems and tools, including ERP platforms.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with RTX business units, functional organizations, or enterprise services.
  • Knowledge of advanced technologies applied in supply‑chain scenarios (predictive analytics, digital twins, RPA).
  • Experience leading large‑scale enterprise architecture initiatives focused on supply‑chain transformation.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to debate, dialogue, and influence stakeholders.
  • Relevant architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, RTX Certified Architect).
  • ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.

Compensation

Salary range: 147,000 USD – 295,000 USD (good faith estimate)
