Overview
Leidos is seeking a Software Technical Manager & Scrum Master who will lead a dynamic team working on the development of software that improves aircraft runway and terminal congestion. Nationwide congestion is increasing, and the need for efficient aircraft traffic planning is critical. The Federal Aviation Administration's Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) is the surface management solution that will provide Next Gen Air Traffic Control capabilities to improve air traffic operations in the National Airspace System (NAS).
The TFDM program is a Federal Aviation Administration Next Gen program based on airport surface management that provides efficiencies for both the airport surface and terminal airspace by providing a comprehensive integrated surface traffic control and management system.
- Work with developers to ensure on time deliveries
- Manage cross‑team dependencies by identifying, helping resolve dependencies in a timely fashion
- Manage SLOC growth by working with teams to identify SLOC growth ahead of time and help teams manage SLOC
- Lead productivity improvements
- Track and report Software Engineering status, generating detailed test reports and artifact packages for stakeholders and clients
- Manage and track schedules, risks, opportunities, defects, change requests, and action items
- Facilitate planning meetings, peer reviews, and customer‑facing sessions to align with SW objectives and schedules
- Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to a fast‑paced and highly productive work environment
- Air Traffic knowledge and experience working on Air Traffic programs
