We are seeking an experienced IT Environment Engineer to support the stability, availability, visibility, and optimization of a complex enterprise environment landscape. This is a highly technical role focused primarily on supporting interconnected non-production environments used for development, testing, staging, disaster recovery, and production readiness.
The IT Environment Engineer will work across application, infrastructure, Dev Ops, database, and architecture teams to troubleshoot environment issues, improve CI/CD processes, maintain environment consistency, and reduce conflicts impacting internal project teams.
A key initial deliverable will be gathering requirements and developing an environment-management dashboard that provides greater visibility into application hosting, dependencies, security classifications, environment status, and potential scheduling or technical conflicts.
Required Qualifications- At least five years of hands‑on experience supporting complex enterprise application or infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience supporting or working with CI/CD pipelines
. - Experience with AWS cloud environments
. - Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform or data lake environment
. - Experience with Git Hub and source‑control or deployment workflows.
- Experience using the Atlassian suite
, such as Jira and Confluence. - Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
- Experience supporting Java‑based applications
. - Understanding of relational database platforms, including one or more of the following:
- Oracle
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong understanding of how applications, databases, infrastructure, cloud services, storage, integrations, and deployment pipelines interact.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues across multiple systems and support teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with application, infrastructure, Dev Ops, database, security, and architecture professionals.
- Experience gathering technical requirements and translating them into dashboards, documentation, reporting, or operational improvements.
- Ability to work independently, organize ambiguous information, and drive issues through resolution.
- Experience with Dynatrace or a similar application‑performance monitoring platform.
- Experience with Service Now
. - Experience building operational, infrastructure, application‑health, or environment‑management dashboards.
- Experience supporting multiple interconnected non‑production environments.
- Experience with environment automation or Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with environment refreshes, cloning, data masking, and configuration management.
- Experience working within an IT service management or shared‑services organization.
- Support the configuration, maintenance, stability, and availability of development, testing, staging, disaster recovery, and other non‑production environments.
- Maintain consistency across environments throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support environment refreshes, cloning, configuration changes, data preparation, and access requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of environment inventory, topology, application hosting, integrations, dependencies, configurations, and security classifications.
- Help restore unavailable or degraded environments within expected service time frames.
- Support multiple interconnected environments containing business‑critical applications and shared technical dependencies.
- Troubleshoot complex environment issues involving applications, servers, cloud infrastructure, integrations, databases, storage, and network dependencies.
- Use Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools to assess environment health, availability, performance, and capacity.
- Coordinate issue resolution across application support, infrastructure, Dev Ops, database, and architecture teams.
