Construction Liability Claim Senior Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of complex or technical construction liability claims.
• Conduct detailed inspections and interviews to gather comprehensive information and assess claim validity.
• Analyze and interpret intricate policy language, endorsements, and exclusions to make informed claim decisions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate claim documentation and comply with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, legal counsel, etc.
• Handle customer escalations and complex inquiries with professionalism and expertise.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Claim Reps and Claim Rep Trainees, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster their development.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Seven years of experience in insurance claims, preferably construction liability claims.
• Experience with claims management and software systems.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, terminology with the ability to understand and articulate policies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to handle complex claims and negotiate settlements.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive experience for insureds and claimants.

• High School Degree or GED.
• 3 years of liability claim handling experience and/or comparable litigation claim experience.
• In order to perform the essential job functions, acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state and company requirements.
• Generally, license(s) are required to be obtained within three months of starting the job.
