Senior Underwriter, Accident & Health

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing underwriting data
• Evaluating new and renewal accounts
• Processing underwriting activities
• Monitoring portfolio performance
• Developing and executing strategic underwriting and portfolio plans
• Leading product development and refinement initiatives
• Participating in P&L management and portfolio performance analysis
• Ensuring compliance with applicable domestic and international insurance laws and regulations
• Preparing and updating monthly underwriting reports

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent education and /or experience
• Minimum of five years of experience in Accident & Health Insurance Underwriting preferred
• Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated financial acumen and high attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

Demonstrates expertise in Accident & Health Insurance Underwriting, with a strong focus on analyzing underwriting data, evaluating accounts, and ensuring compliance with insurance regulations. Proficient in developing strategic plans and managing portfolio performance while exhibiting strong negotiation and communication skills.
