Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to investigate and resolve crop insurance claims for our RCIS business. In this field-based role, you will travel to farms within your assigned territory to inspect crops, assess damage, verify coverage, and document findings through measurements, photos, and detailed reports. You will review policies and production records, calculate accurate claim payments, and communicate decisions to insureds and agents.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and adjust crop insurance claims within assigned territory, ensuring compliance with RCIS and regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct on-site field inspections to assess crop damage, verify coverage, and document findings with photos and measurements
  • Review policies, acreage reports, and production records to determine coverage, liability, and accurate claim payments
  • Communicate findings, coverage determinations, and claim status clearly to insureds, agents, and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare detailed, timely, and accurate estimates, reports, and claim files using Zurich/RCIS systems and tools
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims leadership, and peers to resolve complex cases and maintain service standards
  • Adhere to Zurich and RCIS quality, ethics, and customer-service standards while managing workload and travel schedule
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on crop insurance regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices
