Overview
Assistant Project Manager –Electrical Construction. Responsible for helping manage the life cycle of medium‑to‑large electrical projects across Commercial, Education, Health Care, and Industrial/Mining sectors. Work closely with senior project managers to plan, coordinate, and oversee procurement, engineering, subcontracting, installation, and project close‑out activities while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects remain on schedule and on budget.
Responsibilities- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the entire project lifecycle from procurement and engineering to subcontracting and installation.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and a solid industry reputation.
- Help maintain project economics by monitoring schedules, costs, and quality to protect the bottom line.
- Prepare, process, and manage essential project documentation, including files, schedules, reports, and billing.
- Complete submittals and handle project close‑outs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Serve as a versatile team player, tackling various tasks and challenges to expand skill sets and support overall team success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two‑year degree in electrical construction, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code preferred.
- Experience reading drawings/blueprints and interpreting specifications preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Bluebeam and CAD preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet daily deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Problem‑solving skills and a self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Work at industrial job sites with exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise; closed‑toed shoes, and occasional use of a hard hat and eye protection required.
- Work in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and photocopiers.
- Must frequently sit, and occasionally kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pay range: $63,232.00 – $87,552.00. Compensation determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Base hourly, monthly, or annual salary only. Additional benefits are provided, including a robust benefits plan.
