Hybrid - Onsite in Minnetonka, MN

Contract Length: 6/15/2026-12/31/2026;
Contract-to-hire

Rate: $59.73/hour W2

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience in the payer space
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, CMS, STARS, and/or Risk Adjustment (preferred, but not required)
  • Project management experience supporting high‑visibility transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated strong drive, high autonomy, and a proactive self‑starter work ethic
Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing one or more cross‑departmental transformation projects that align with the organization's strategic plan, regulatory requirements, new product development, or operational initiatives. This role will manage end‑to‑end project performance including timeline adherence, budget management, and delivery quality.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management (70%)

  • Partner with Business and Technology stakeholders to define and understand project scope, milestones, resource capacity, and business outcomes.
  • Identify resource requirements for the project, aligning to budget constraints and working with program leadership to facilitate hiring; reassess on a regular cadence.
  • Partner with Product Management to ensure alignment across multiple ARTs and business stakeholders to resolve any gaps in deliverables.
  • Understand and report on progress of project MVP with key stakeholders, including steering and portfolio management.
  • Develop a critical path and business milestones and timeline in partnership with business, technology representatives, and Product Management to meet business outcomes.
  • Ensure coordination and synchronization of epic‑related activities across all entities as required.
  • Ensure transparency and manage dependencies, issues, and risks; facilitate resolution or decisions when needed.
  • Hold teams accountable for their deliverables and commitments; serve as an escalation resource and help remove obstacles.
  • Support the Program and project representatives in managing expectations for deliverables.

Financial Management (10%)

  • Manage project finances, ensuring expenditures are applied to the project and collaborating with program manager, finance reps, or the Director of Transformation Operations as needed.
  • Support development of business case(s) in partnership with program manager, business owners, and across multiple work streams such as Finance, Technology, etc.

Stakeholder Management (20%)

  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external entities including vendors.
  • Organize, motivate, and provide leadership to cross‑functional work teams.
  • Manage executive stakeholder communications.
Minimum Qualifications /Requirements

Minimum education level required to qualify for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum years’ experience required in the field to qualify for the position:

  • 5 years of experience beyond the degree

Specific types of experience or skills required:

  • 5 years of experience managing complex cross‑departmental programs
  • Leading cross‑functional strategic and/or transformation programs
  • 3 years of managing large project budgets in excess of $1M
  • Managing cross‑functional teams of 10‑50+ people
  • End‑to‑end program management inclusive of Agile delivery methodologies
  • Strong executive communication skills and experience creating executive‑level status reporting and Power Points
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment
  • Preferred: PMP certification
  • Healthcare experience, particularly in a payer environment

Budgetary/Fiscal Responsibilities:

  • Development and management of project budget including forecasts and actual spend

Work Arrangement: 3 days per week (Tues‑Thurs) onsite in Minnetonka
