Assistant Health & Human Services Director

Otter Tail County is now accepting applications for a full‑time Assistant Director position with Health and Human Services.

• Provide administrative leadership and supervision to Health and Human Services staff and supervisors
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and performance management activities
• Direct the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Health and Human Services programs
• Support accreditation, certification, and continuous quality improvement activities required by state and federal laws, regulations, and applicable program standards
• Develop, recommend, and manage budgets for multiple programs
• Develop, administer, and monitor contracts
• Interpret laws, rules, regulations, and policies
• Prepare reports and evaluate programs for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
• Support strategic planning and organizational development efforts
• Coordinate services and initiatives across divisions, departments, and community partners
• Lead the implementation of technology and process improvement initiatives
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities
• Act on behalf of the Health and Human Services Director in the Director's absence
