Production Control Specialist

The Production Control Specialist will support the Supply Chain Department in day-to-day management of inventory. The Production Control Specialist will coordinate with multiple departments to support the master shipping schedule to meet quarterly budget goals. They will manage outside vendors and internal requirements. They will maintain and run to ground risk items pertaining to customer needs. This role will provide back up support through the supply chain and Inspection departments within the plant.

• Comply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules
• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
• Manage outside vendors and internal requirements
• Maintain and run to ground risk items pertaining to customer needs
• Provide back up support through the supply chain and inspection departments within the plant
• Maintain and improve the current production schedule by highlighting risk and elevating issues within necessary departments
• Devise and coordinate metrics around risk shipments, E&O and Vendor OTD
• Manage intermediate to finish work order transfer
• Learn how to interpret non-conformances and their rework requirements or actions to drive product to completion
• Manage inventory movement between outside vendors
• Manage outside vendor throughput and priorities
• Evaluate and interpret product requirements
• Problem solve by optimizing efficiency through routers with consideration for scheduling constraints, bad product mix and other variables

• Experience in manufacturing preferred, Aerospace would be a plus
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in SAP/Oracle/JDE or major ERP system. Oracle ERP system experience is preferred
• Practical interaction and experience with sourcing, quality, customer service and engineering preferred
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all levels of the organization, including management, coworkers and vendors
• Awareness of ITAR and export-controlled work is a plus
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate a clear plan to various parties
• Ability to translate multiple variables and timetables into a single, cohesive plan to drive fulfillment to the customer and a profitable production mix
• Understanding production scheduling, inventory flow and material requirements planning
• Strong communication skills

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1+ years of relevant work experience
