Overview

A leading design and fabrication company is seeking a Robot Operator Helper to support robotic welding operations by assisting with part preparation, material movement, production flow, and basic quality checks. The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented manufacturing professional with a strong work ethic, basic fabrication knowledge, and the ability to support robotic welding operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. Working under general supervision, this role plays an important part in helping maintain production efficiency, quality standards, and safe work practices.

Salary: $18/hr–$20/hr – DOE (Plus $3/hr Shift Differential)
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: Day Shift 6:00 am - 2:30pm / Night Shift 2:00 pm - 10:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Support robotic welding operations by preparing parts and materials for production.
  • Clean parts and remove debris prior to welding operations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading parts from robotic welding cells.
  • Help assemble parts according to drawings and production specifications.
  • Support the removal of completed parts from the work area and prepare them for the next production stage.
  • Perform basic visual checks to help identify obvious weld or quality concerns.
  • Assist with tracking production information, paperwork, or data entry as required.
  • Help maintain welding supplies, materials, and general readiness for the next shift.
  • Support housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Notify leads or supervisors of unsafe conditions, malfunctioning equipment, or production concerns.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing, welding, or fabrication experience preferred
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools, shop practices, and production environments preferred
  • Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, or work instructions preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment in an industrial environment
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
