Standard Iron is looking for entry‑level candidates who share our core values of Safety, Respect, Pride in Work, and Continuous Improvement. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator with experience operating Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC).

Shift:
  • 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: Employees work three 12‑hour shifts (36 hours) and are compensated for a full 40‑hour workweek
  • 15% shift differential for 2nd shift
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) to perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and milling.
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T specifications.
  • Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine settings to maintain part quality and tolerances.
  • Perform first‑piece, in‑process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make minor adjustments to ensure continuous production.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).
  • Candidates with any level of CNC machining experience (including HMC) are encouraged to apply. Entry‑level applicants with basic machine knowledge will be considered.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
