Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Location:

Motley, MN, US, 56466

Purpose Statement

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in and around the plant and plant grounds. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.

  • Ensure that the operations on the processing lines are running safely, smoothly and properly.
  • Responsible for the repair of building, equipment, and grounds.
  • Aid with refrigeration/freezer repair.
  • General plant and office maintenance.
  • Request parts and supplies when needed.
  • Daily communication with Maintenance team and plant supervisors to ensure proper information and repairs are communicated.
  • Work within our Food Safety, Sanitation, and Quality and HACCP plan policies of performing maintenance work on food equipment.
  • Daily grounds keeping, lawn, and snow removal, general clean up.
  • Boiler maintenance and upkeep.
  • Painting plant and office areas.
  • Work within our facility and utilize Maintenance plan for controls of repairs to be made during production times.
  • Be flexible and assist in other areas of the company when requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of management and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and daily assignments, follow and report results of PM schedules and repair schedules as assigned.
  • Ability to recognize the operating mechanisms of various fish processing/packaging machines at the plant.
  • Ability to initiate new and routine procedures by encouraging teamwork and cooperation without being attended.
  • Possesses or willing to obtain a boiler operator’s license.
  • Flexible to attend training recommended by plant management, could include basic electrical, refrigeration systems, specialized equipment such as the packaging machines and processing.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or food processing environments is a plus.
  • Excellent ability to work well independently or in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be self-directed and be able to work without supervision.
  • Must have ability to use primary math skills.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk and climb ladders.
  • Ability to bend and twist in order to perform necessary repairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to work on concrete floors in a cool, wet and damp environment.
COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$26.00‑$26.00
