HMill Machine Operator - Weekend

Job Description

Immediate opening for a Machine Operator – Weekend Days. Reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Work hours are Friday – Sunday 6am – 6pm with a 15% shift differential.

• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or media as required.
• Understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces and sequence of operations.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and similar CNC tools.
• Refer to the tooling list and install correct tooling. Enter and verify tool offsets.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers; familiarity with elementary CMM, GD&T, and SPC is required.
• Communicate process issues to supervisor for investigation.
• Complete necessary paperwork and computer entry steps.

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with fabrication, machining, or similar processes is preferred.
• Ability to operate vertical/horizontal mills, lathes, or Swiss machinery is preferred.
• Ability to perform non‑complex adjustments and changes to machinery.
• Troubleshooting abilities.
• 2‑year machining degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑4+ years of manufacturing or related work experience.
• A.A. degree or equivalent experience, or any combination of education and experience.
• Vocational or technical training or equivalent experience.

Pay range is $17.12 – $29.09 per hour plus a 15% shift differential. Individual pay is determined by location and additional job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale may change based on business needs.
