Engineer - Duluth

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Engineer to support the programming, setup, and optimization of CNC machining processes. This role is responsible for developing efficient machining strategies, improving production quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure precision, consistency, and throughput.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC programming, tooling, and process improvement, with a hands‑on understanding of machining operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi‑axis machines
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate machining
• Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and quality
• Support machine setup, prove‑out, and first‑article inspections
• Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, dimensional inaccuracies, and machine performance
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve part manufacturability (DFM)
• Implement process improvements to reduce cycle times, scrap, and rework
• Maintain documentation for CNC programs, setup sheets, and process standards
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Assist in training machinists and operators on new programs and processes
