Manufacturing Engineer – Low Voltage Electrical Panels

WEG has an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Duluth office. The role involves providing technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing team, ensuring efficient, cost-effective production that meets quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities- Works closely with Engineering teams to provide feedback on product design for manufacturing.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation, including specifications/drawings, Bills of Material, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Analyzes and improves panel design to enhance production efficiency and reduce cost.
- Develops templates/poka-yokes for production to increase productivity and ensure quality.
- Provides technical assistance and support to the manufacturing team for the assembly, testing, and packing of new and/or current LV electrical panel projects, including prototypes.
- Develops and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
- Bachelor’s degree, field of study required:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical panel design, assembly, and testing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with SAP is a differentiator.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
