EXPERIENCE DEPTH:
Minimum 1+ year of Auto Body Schooling OR equivalent hands‑on Industrial/Automotive Painting experience is a strict requirement.

COATING TECHNICALITY:
Direct proficiency in paint mixing ratios, mil‑thickness verification, and a deep understanding of flash times and chemical curing for industrial‑grade wet paints.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Total shift autonomy to fit your lifestyle. 1st Shift features custom start windows (6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM). 3rd Shift features an automatic +$2.00/hour shift differential.

EARNING POTENTIAL:
Up to $27.00 per hour baseline starting rate (scaling with finishing depth) plus premium overtime eligibility plus corporate profit sharing plus comprehensive incentives.

MATERIAL HANDLING:
Comfort utilizing or learning to operate overhead bridge cranes and heavy material handling equipment to position massive steel weldments safely.

LOCATION:

Greater Duluth, MN / Superior, WI area (100% onsite advanced production facility).

COMPLIANCE:
United States Citizens or Green Card holders only; must be able to pass standard medical clearance and fit‑testing for respirator use.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Surface Preparation:
    Performing high‑quality surface preparation, including professional‑grade sanding, meticulous masking, and chemical cleaning of large‑scale industrial components.
  • Chemical Mixing:
    Mixing industrial‑grade coatings, primers, and catalysts to exact chemical specifications, carefully managing drying times, finish hardness, and long‑term corrosion resistance.
  • Spray Application:
    Operating advanced spray equipment, pressure pots, and precision touch‑up tools to apply flawless protective and aesthetic finishes to heavy‑duty machinery.
  • Final Detail Graphics:
    Executing final product detailing, including the accurate placement, alignment, and application of custom vinyl cut graphics and branding decals onto finished equipment.
  • Material Rigging:
    Safely utilizing overhead bridge cranes and material handling equipment to transport, flip, and position massive steel structures through the preparation and painting bays.
  • Booth Infrastructure Care:
    Maintaining a high‑efficiency workspace by managing paint kitchen consumables and performing routine preventative maintenance on booth filtration and gun equipment.
  • Shop

    Collaboration:

    Collaborating closely with assembly and fabrication teams to meet daily production timelines while adhering to strict 5S cleanliness and safety protocols.
What We Are Looking For
  • Finishing Foundation:
    At least 1 year of hands‑on experience utilizing professional liquid spray systems, automotive wet paints, or high‑durability industrial coatings.
  • Quality‑First Detail Mindset: A sharp eye for finishing aesthetics with the patience and precision required to perform flawless prep, avoiding runs, sags, or orange peel on massive components.
  • Physical Readiness:
    Complete capability to pass standard medical clearance and fit‑testing to safely wear a respirator within an active, heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Employment Reliability: A rock‑solid, dependable work history demonstrating long‑term career commitment and reliable performance with previous employers; frequent job‑hopping will not be evaluated.
