Your Opportunity
Taylor Corporation is looking for a Quality Inspector in our North Mankato-MN facility.
Work AuthorizationCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States and do not require employer sponsorship.
Your Shift2nd Shift;
Tuesday – Friday, 4:00pm – 2:00am; overtime on Saturdays as needed.
- Verify that final work product (statements and letters) meets production standards according to written instructions.
- Examine materials by confirming required manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting or returning unacceptable materials.
- Return products for re‑work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re‑work.
- Explain to operators and supervisors why the product does not match the client’s instructions.
- Walk around to different machines to verify the accuracy of jobs.
- Cross‑train in different departments to develop skills (postal, shipping, hand table).
- Report quality problems or concerns to senior management immediately.
- Ensure that items that exit the facility are 100% accurate.
- Input data into the production database.
- Learn about the production process and the role of QA.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Detail oriented.
- Basic measuring skills – able to read a ruler and other measurement devices.
- Basic problem‑solving skills.
- Basic computer skills (open, save, print a file, enter data).
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate accurate information and ideas so others understand.
- Required to remain in a stationary position regularly.
- Ability to work in an environment with regular exposure to printing inks, solvents, and chemicals; must follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Ability to operate machinery and handle print materials.
- Requirement to move inside the facility and lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 25+pounds.
- Prior experience within the print industry/fast‑paced high‑production environment.
- 3+ years’ experience.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20–$23. The actual base offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
