Job Title: Community Engagement and Policy Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Classification: Non-Exempt, hourly (union represented)
Hiring Salary Range: $33 - $35 an hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time/ 40 hours weekly
Description:
The Community Engagement and Policy Coordinator is the key policy advocate and community organizer for YWCA Duluth. They will facilitate the Child Care Implementation Task Force - a group of dedicated local leaders who are working to build real solutions to the current childcare crisis. They will move forward policy initiatives such as education about the MN ERA and build community through outreach, community conversations, and making connections among groups.
A good candidate for this position will be good at working with people and building trusting relationships, communication, thinking through complex problems, educating and presenting information and being a creative problem solver. A good fit for the YWCA Duluth is someone who upholds the mission and values, supports reproductive justice and wants to work in a small feminist grassroots environment.
